April Ross
April Ross was one of only a few women beach volleyball stars who won medals during more than one Olympics. Alix klineman, who is playing for the first time at the Tokyo Olympics and will attempt to win her third Olympic medal. Ross's goal is to win her first Olympic Gold. And at the age of 39, this could be her last opportunity to accomplish this. However, she is confident of achieving top honours. Ross was a Californian born in Costa Mesa, California in 1982. She lived here with her mother, father and sibling. Apart from playing in numerous sports, Ross also attended Newport Harbor High School. The prep sports she played included indoor volleyball as well as basketball as well as track and running. Though she excelled when playing indoors however, it was evident that her performance was above normal. Ross Jennings became Walsh Jennings partner in fate as Maytreanor resigned. The duo were able to win the beach volleyball bronze at the Rio Olympics in the year 2016. Ross was a student athlete with the Trojans of USC prior to her pro career. She played in high school and in before hitting the beach professionally. The time she spent at USC was quite impressive. As a freshman in 2000 she played her way to Pac-10 as well as NCAA The Freshman of the Year honors and was also an All-American. Her performance also assisted in helping the Trojans to make it to into the Final Four. The second season of her career she was devastated by a personal loss and still managed to earn the honor of being named an All-American. Over the course of the two years she played for the Trojans they helped win consecutive championships. For her part, she cemented her place in the history books by winning the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. This award was given to the top female volleyball players at colleges across the United States. Ross took a course in International Relations at USC. Margie Ross didn't get to witness Ross become the highest beach volleyball stage. Ross lost the breast cancer that she battled in 2001. Ross was then a sophomore.
