Winona-Ryder
Winona Laura Horowitz, professionally referred to by the name Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her for the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz is her father, while Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder's father was born into a Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. Uria is Ryder's younger sister. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are Ryder's half-siblings. When Ryder was just seven years old, her family relocated into Mendocino County California. There were no electric lights. Ryder was a consummate read and often spent her time studying books since there was no TV. Ryder took acting classes at the age of Ryder was 12, at the American Conservatory Theatre. When she was 15, Ryder landed her very first role onscreen, playing Lucas. Ryder faced bullying during her teenage years. Ryder hoped her career as an actor would be able to bring about change. Unfortunately, that did not occur. But she continued to chase her dreams. Her breakthrough occurred in the year 1988, when Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder was able to continue playing parts that proved successful in several movies. Two Academy Awards were nominated, one of which was for The Age of Innocence (1996).
