Anna Paquin has been an actress across Canada as well as New Zealand for over a decade. Paquin was born in Winnipeg and raised by Wellington Paquin's acting debut was as Flora McGrath. For this role she received an Academy Award of Best Supporting Actress in the romantic drama The Piano at the young age of 11. The actress is second youngest winner in Oscar history. Paquin was Frankie Addams in a 1997 television movie adaptation of Carson McCullers's novel The Member of the Wedding and also played a part as Queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (1997). She played teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000) and A Walk on the Moon (2000). She played her character groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
